Cooking class - Spring rolls

We had a cooking class over zoom to learn how to make spring rolls.  My favourite part was eating  them.

  2. Hi Lacee, I love the look of your spring rolls! I have always wanted to make these you will have to give me a lesson. Were they hard to make? Who taught you how to make them? I am really proud that you got this post on your blog, well done!

  3. Hello Mrs Long. Thank you they were yummy. They were easy to make and you can use any filling you like. We had a zoom lesson with friends from my church.

  4. Kia ora Lacee,
Yum! Spring rolls are one of my favourite foods to eat, so it is so cool to hear how you got to have a go at making them for yourself!
You mentioned how this was a cooking class over Zoom. Was this a cooking class through school, or was this something different?
The photos you have included are fantastic, and it is great to be able to see how focused you are with making these spring rolls.
How long did they take to make?
What did you use for the wrapper?
What ingredients did you put in the filling?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
Your spring rolls look so delicious in the pan, and I am jealous that I don’t have any in front of me right now!
    Keep up the great work!

They were really yummy. We made them with some of our friends from our church during lockdown. We used rice paper for the wrapper. they had pork mince, onion, garlic, carrot and fish sauce.

    1. Kia ora Lacee,
Thank you for replying to my comment and answering all of the questions I had about your blogpost!
It is so cool how you were still able to meet up with your church group friends during this lockdown period. Zoom was such a fantastic idea, so ka pai for your ingenuity!
The ingredients you used for your filling sound delicious, and I can only imagine how tasty they must have been inside the rice paper wrappers. Did you have to cook the filling before you wrapped the spring rolls?
If you were to make these again, is there anything you would do differently?
You’ve inspired me to have a go at making some spring rolls myself. I’ve already started looking up recipes that I could follow!
      Keep up the fantastic work!
      Nga mihi
