These are our 2 ducks Nibbles and Speedy. They are Muscovey ducks. We got them when they were 1 day old. Their mum could not look after them. They need lots of fresh water. They live outside during the day and we bring them inside at night time in their box. We love our ducks very much.
The first 2 photos are when they were 1 and 2 days old then 1 week up to 5 weeks old.
Kia ora Lacee, Thank you for writing such a fantastic blogpost about your family ducks! Nibbles and Speedy are absolutely adorable, and I really like how small and tiny their little feet and beaks are! You mentioned how you got them when they were 1 day old because their mother couldn’t look after them. Where did you get the baby ducks from, and how do you look after them? I think it was fantastic for you to have included progress photos of the ducks. Seeing them grow just makes it feel that much more special, and it is amazing to see how big they have gotten in just 5 weeks! How big do ducks normally get? What do you feed them? Are they loud animals? It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know! Keep up the great work! Nga mihi
Hello. We got them from the dog kenel lady. She rung my mum. We put them outside during the day and they come in at night time. We feed them this mash stuff and they have to have lots of water.
Kia ora Lacee, Thank you for replying to my comment and letting me know more about your ducks! I still can’t believe how lucky you are to have gotten baby ducks, although I probably shouldn’t say baby anymore! I was just having another look over all the photos you included, and just now realised how big the baby ducks got in the first 5 weeks. It’s been about another 4 weeks since you first made this post, so I can only imagine how grown up they must be! How big are the ducks in size now? You mentioned how you got your new pets from the lady at the dog kennel. What were the ducks doing at the dog kennel? You also mentioned how you feed them mush. Do you know what kind of ingredients are in the mush? Are you enjoying having pet ducks? It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know! Keep blogging, you’re doing a fantastic job! Nga mihi
Oh my goodness those ducks are adorable Lacee. They grow very quickly. How old are they when they can lay eggs? Do you use the duck eggs if you get any in your cooking?
