This is my box creation.
First I painted the inside of the box blue and green. Then I used fluff as clouds and hung them through the roof. I cut some cardboard up for a seat for my swing. I put some little stones as a path and then painted some mountains. We made a little house out of an egg carton for the rabbits house.
Hi Lacee
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I really like how you have created a lovely 3D scene with all of the materials like the little stones and the cotton wool. Did you find painting all of the inside of the box tricky?
Hi jackie
DeleteNo it was easy. Mum helped with the mountains.
What an amazing creation Lacee. I can remember making dioramas in boxes when I went to school. It was so much fun being able to hang things and make shapes. I love how you made the little house out of the egg carton.
ReplyDeleteThat is very neat Laccee. What a great idea to make a diorama. Did you find any of this challenging? What could be another scene you would like to make?
ReplyDeleteHi Naomi thank you.
ReplyDeleteMost of it was easy but I needed help with tiing the swing and the clouds up. Im not sure.
Kia ora Lacee,
ReplyDeleteKa pai on doing such an amazing job with your cardboard challenge. I have never heard of a cardboard challenge, and am interested to learn a little bit more about this.
Was this a challenge that you did through school?
Did you have a time-limit that you had to stick within when making your creation?
Was there a theme that you had to follow?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
I really like your idea of having the mountains as the background, and I think that your idea of hanging cotton balls from the roof to act as clouds was brilliant.
How did you manage to come up with this idea?
I can remember making a diorama at school, and I based mine on the beach. I used blue cellophane to act as the waves, with strips of white to look like the foam. I also stuck sand to the base of my box, and glued rocks and small seashells along to make it look more realistic.
What are all of the small details you included on your diorama?
What did you use to glue everything down?
How long did this take you to make?
Keep blogging!
